Shipping policy

Last updated: August 23, 2026

This policy describes shipping for orders placed with CardBoard Monsters, a subsidiary of Boutique V-MAX inc., on cardboardmonsters.ca. Information specific to each order — products, address, delivery method, charges, taxes and delivery date or period — is displayed before payment and repeated in the order confirmation.

1. Destinations, rates and carriers

Available destinations, delivery options, carriers and rates are those shown at checkout. All amounts are in Canadian dollars unless clearly stated otherwise. Free-shipping promotions apply only under the conditions displayed when the order is placed.

2. Processing and delivery period

The delivery date or period communicated on the product page, at checkout or in the order confirmation is the estimate applicable to the order. Business days exclude weekends and holidays. If an event materially changes the stated delivery period, we will contact you and honour any cancellation or refund rights provided by law.

3. Pre-orders and mixed orders

A pre-order release date may be an estimate supplied by the publisher or distributor. The product page states the expected date or period. If it changes, we will notify you when reasonably possible. A delay does not remove mandatory rights relating to late delivery or non-delivery.

Unless stated otherwise at checkout, an order containing in-stock and pre-order items may ship when every item is available. Where separate shipments are offered, the related charges are disclosed before payment.

4. Address and verification

The customer must verify their name, address and delivery information before confirming the order. Contact us immediately if a correction is needed. We cannot guarantee a change after processing begins. Where permitted by law, actual and reasonable costs caused by an incorrect address, unjustified refusal or reshipment may be charged after they have been explained; no fixed penalty is imposed.

To prevent fraud or unauthorized use, we may temporarily hold shipment and request reasonable and proportionate verification. If we cancel the order, amounts collected are refunded as required by law.

5. Tracking, signature and delivery

Tracking information is provided where available. A signature, proof of age or another security measure may be required for a high-value order or one presenting an objective risk. These measures protect both parties.

We do not automatically treat a carrier scan as ending all responsibility. In the event of delay, loss, alleged theft or delivery to the wrong location, contact us so that we can investigate with the carrier. We remain responsible to the extent required by law. If you expressly requested delivery without a signature, or if your conduct prevents delivery, that instruction or conduct may be considered under applicable law.

6. Damaged or incomplete parcel

Report the issue as soon as reasonably possible to info@cardboardmonsters.ca. Retain the item, packaging, seal, box, protective materials and shipping label. Photographs may be requested to assist the investigation or carrier claim. These reasonable steps do not remove any statutory right.

7. Delays and non-delivery

Applicable statutory periods prevail over any inconsistent term. In Quebec, where a distance contract may be cancelled for late delivery or non-delivery, the consumer may exercise the rights provided by the Consumer Protection Act, including a refund and, when the conditions are met, a chargeback.

8. Shipping-related returns

Every return must follow our Refund Policy. Where the law requires us to pay reasonable return costs, a label or instructions will be provided. Do not return a TCG product without authorization, and protect its condition, seal and packaging during transit.
